01 / The study
Understanding the experience behind the application.
The path to medical school can be demanding. Burnout has been widely studied among medical students and physicians, but much less is known about the experiences of people preparing to enter medicine.
EMBER examines factors associated with burnout among Canadian medical school applicants and the role of psychological resilience. We also explore how engagement relates to burnout and resilience.
The findings may help inform support for future applicants and guide further research into well-being across the physician life course.
